Director, Twig Marketing
I started my career in universities very early – taking a Summer job sterilising infectious waste in a university lab, which had only come available after the previous incumbent contracted typhoid. Resisting offers to continue that career, I instead collected garbage, counted weeds and worked in a series of interesting roles until vocation and opportunity finally synchronised, spending eight happy years in journalism.
A career in marketing and comms roles followed, with a particular focus on the university sector.
Over almost 20 years I have reviewed and reinvigorated marketing, comms and other functions at 14 universities. In 2010 I founded Twig Marketing to deliver marketing services specifically tailored to the needs of the higher education sector. Since then, our team has developed strategies, divisional restructures, market research and analysis projects, visions and collateral for more than half of Australia’s universities.
I write and present on aspects of higher education strategy and marketing whenever opportunities present themselves.
